We answered your questions! We listened to you when you asked us about creating your own topologies using NetSim. Now we have labs that will help you do exactly that. Two new Demo labs allow you to follow the steps to create and configure a topology. This lab allows you to do more than just evaluate NetSim. You can also create, modify, modify, and inspect everything within your simulated network. The videos below show the steps taken in the Demo labs.
Demo Lab 2 – NetSim Topology Demo Lab guides you through the process to create a new topology. This lab allows you to connect routers, switches, workstations together to create a working network. Frame Relay and serial connections are used to link the routers together. FastEthernet ports are used to connect the switches to routers and workstations. The lab provides a comprehensive overview of NetSim’s features, even though the topology you create might not be what you had in mind. You can create your own specialized topologies using the information in this lab.
Demo Lab 3: NetSim Configuration Demo Lab guides you through configuring the devices within the topology created in Demo Lab 2. This lab will show you how to configure Frame Relay links, subinterfaces and routers. EIGRP will be used as the routing protocol to allow traffic to flow between the two ends of the network. You will be able configure specialized topologies using the configuration information from this lab and the topology information from the first lab.
These demo labs show NetSim’s topology design and some of its most useful features.
